New Administration for KCK Public Schools Began Tenure July 1

As Dr. Jill Shackelford begins her second year as superintendent of schools, a number of other staff have assumed new responsibilities. The following assignments became effective on July 1.

Cynthia Lane, assistant superintendent for business and instruction support services, from director for special education

Kelli Mather, executive director for student and family services, from director of student and family services

J.D. Rios, assistant superintendent for human and community resources, from assistant superintendent for human resources

Tom Petz, executive director for human resources services, from director of secondary human resources

David Smith, assistant to the superintendent for communications and community development, from coordinator of equity to close the achievement gap

Susan Engelmann, executive director for high schools, from director for small learning communities

Kim Shaw, deputy director for Wyandotte comprehensive special education cooperative, from student improvement facilitator

Sabina Hacker, director for ESL, from principal at Argentine Middle School

Barbara Schilling, director for Area Technical School, from supervisor for Area Technical School

Liz Hernandez, coordinator for student and family services, from counselor at Argentine Middle School
