Notice of Time and Place of Special Meeting

A special meeting of the Kansas City, Kansas Board of Education is hereby called for Thursday, August 10, 2006, at 5:00 p.m. in the third floor auditorium of the Public Library and School Administration Building, 625 Minnesota Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas.

The purpose of such special meeting shall be to consider and approve the 2006-2007 tentative budget and authorize publication of the Notice of Public Hearing. The Board shall recess to executive session under the following exceptions to the Kansas Open Meetings Act:

• Employer-Employee Negotiations – to protect the district's right to the confidentiality of its negotiating position and the public's interest.
• Attorney-Client – for consultation with the Board's Attorney on a matter protected by the attorney-client privilege.
