Students, Staff Plan 90th Birthday Celebration for Food Service Worker

Students and staff at Frank Rushton Elementary School, in Kansas City, Kansas, will be hosting a 90th birthday celebration for Gerti Clifton, school food service worker, on Tuesday, Feb. 26. The celebration will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Classes of students will sing happy birthday to her, and the KCK Public Schools' Nutritional Services office will make a special presentation. Clifton, whose actual birthday is Feb. 27, has been with the district for 34 years. The part-time staff member is known for her decorative touches; she especially enjoys decorating the bulletin board in the cafeteria.
