Federal Programs
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) was enacted in 1965 to provide guidance and funds to K-12 schools. On January 8, 2002 President George Bush signed the No Child Left Behind Act. This act reauthorizes and amends federal education programs established under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965.
