The Employee to Teacher (E–T) Program is currently accepting applications for Spring 2007. If you meet the required qualifications listed below and are interested in being considered, please return your application to Barb Collins, 600 Minnesota Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas 66101.
Qualifications will not be waived.
- Currently employed for a minimum of six (6) months with the District.
- Interested in pursuing or currently pursuing teaching certification.
- Transcript showing at least 60 credit hours earned to date.
- Eligible to enter into a contractual agreement with the District.
- A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
- Provide a plan of study for an approved teacher education certification program from a college/university with timeline for completion of certification within six (6) years.
- Completed Employee to Teacher Program Application.
The purpose of the tuition program is to assist classified and substitute employees with funds to complete a teacher certification program which will provide teachers for needed vacancies in our District. After completion of the program, the employee will be obligated to teach up to six years, depending on the number of years that monetary assistance is provided through this program.
Any classified or substitute employee interested in being considered, must submit a completed application along with the above listed items. All items must be submitted in order to be considered. Employees will be notified of their status.
